AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION.

A. meeting of those interested in the formation of an Agricultural Association for Mauawatu, was held at Whyte's Hotel, Foxton ; yesterday afternoon. A fair number were present ; Mr Thynne was roted to the chair. The Chairman said it was very desirable for every one to show an interest in the matter of agriculture, if the association were started, it would be necessary foi people outside of Manawatu to send exhibits. Mr Walker spoke of the advantages of such associations, in creating a spirit of emulation ; he thought such men as Messrs Huntor and Jbeetham would gladly assist the movement ; about £30 would be required, The prizes would not bo much ; it was the honor.
