The Sydney Salvation Army Congress Hall Band will arrive in Wellington next month for a tour of New Zealand, lasting 18 days. The Band, recognised as one of the best bands in Australia, is under the leadership of Bandmaster Harold Morgan, who has been in charge since 1941. He is the composer of orchestral, brass band, and vocal music, and he has been awarded prizes for his compositions. A tour of the South Island will start on February "2, and will not include Blenheim. The places j to be visited are Christchurch, Ashburton, Waimate, Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin, Balclutha, Gore, Mataura, and Invercargill. i
