BRITAIN'S LAID-UP CARS.
10,000 TONS OF RUBBER IN TYRES.

RUGBY, Oct. 26.
The Minister of Supply has ordered a census of laid-up motor vehicles in Britain immediately, in order to discover what vehicles and tyres will be available for requisitioning when necessary. Sir Kenneth Lee, of the Ministry of Supply, estimates that tyres on laidup cars represent 10,000 tons of crude rubber.
