The Department of Internal Affairs has received fro tmhe Hgh Commissioner in London, Mr Jordan, the following information concerning civilian prisoners in the hands of the Japanese: — • In camp at Hong Kong: James Leslie Anderson, Engineeing Branch of tfye G.P.O., Hong Kong; next-of-kin, Mrs J. A. Anderson, Ngahere, West Coast (mother). J. S. Beach, Public Works Department, Hong Kong; next-of-kin, Mrs F. Beach, care Mr J. W. Muhro, M.P., 44 Chambers street, Dunedin (wife). J. T. Gould, Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Force; next-of-kin, Mrs Gould, 31 St. George's Bay road, Parnell (relationship not stated). The High Commissioner stated also that the name of G. V. Mayard was given over the Batavia radio, but no other details were transmitted.
