Air Force promotions gazetted include that of Group Captain Arthur de Terotte Neville, to be acting-dir commcdore. Air Commodore Neville, who is 43, completed a course of instruction at the Royal Military College, Duntroon, in 1928. He held various staff appointments in the Royal New Zealand Artillery until his transfer to the R.N.Z.A.F. in 1930. He attended the R.A.F. Staff College at Andover in 1935. In 1937 he was appointed air staff and intelligence officer at Air Headquarters, and became one of the three members of the Air Board. In April last year he was appointed an honorary aide-de-camp to the then GovernorGeneral, Lord Galway, and last January he was appointed deputyChief of the Air Force.
