LONDON, Oct. 22.

Lieutenant - General Eisenhower, U.S. Army Commander in Britain, announced that the German clairns in September that several large liners heavily laden with American troops had been torpedoed, were completely unfounded. He added that this information was withheld until every American soldier on the Atlantic at the time of the German announcement was landed safely in the United Kingdom.
