SUDDEN DEATH

CHRISTCHURCH VISITOR AT PICTON. A member of a Christchurch party died suddenly shortly after arrival at Picton for a Sounds holiday last evening. The deceased was Mr Kenneth Burns Bain, aged 55, who Was a leading figure in insurance eircles, being manager of the Christchurch branch of the North British and Mercantile Insurance Company, Ltd. The fatality occurred shortly after the members of the party had boarded a launch preparatory to leaving for their destination. By a coincidence a Christchurch doctor who had previously attended the late Mr Bain for heart trouble was in Picton at the time, and 110 inquest will be necessary. v
