FRENCH GENERALS DISMISSED.
REFUSAL TO FIGHT BRITISH.

LONDON, Oct. 21.
Two French Generals, Frere and Picquendar, have been dismissed because they opposed Laval's desire that the French Army » shculd be ready to oppose an Anglo- American ianding in France or French Africa. The British United Press correspondent on the French frontier, repcrting this, added that Generals Frere and Picquendar are reported to have told Laval that he could not rely on the Generals.
