PACIFIC WAR COUNCILS
MEETINGS IN TWO CAPITALS.

LONDON, Oct. 21.
Mr Churchill presided over a meeting of the Pacific War Council, attended toy Field Marshal Smuts and Messrs Jordan, Bruce, Watersdn, Massey, Attlee and Amery. After a meeting of the Pacifie War Council in Washington, the British Ambassador, Lord Halifax, said that, President Roosevelt gave the Council a full factual review and analysis of the situaticn in the Solomons, and also surveyed war production, in September and October, which was promising and encouraging. Lord Halifax adaed that many developments were occurring. Ihe New Zealand, Minister, Mr Nash, said that there was, nothing to add to press reports about the Solomons. Production was coming along splehdidly, and the figures concerning production were the most promising thing at, to-day's meeting.
