CHURCHILL IN A BLACK MARIA
VISIT TO GIBRALTAR. A Black Mana took Mr Churchill from the aerodrome to Government House during a recent visit to Gibraltar. Dr Buxton said that the Black Maria was • used to prevent the Prime Minister's presence being quickly known. Mr Churchill was somewhat surprised when the moment he left the plane the Black Maria drove up and he was asked to step inside. He demurred until ihp need for rnaintaining secrecy
