HIDE EXPORT LEVY
ALTER ATIO N S ANNOUNCED. P.A. WELLINGTON, Oct. 20. The following alterations have been made in the export levy 011 hides: Oxhides and cowhides have •been reduced to II d per lb; bull hides have been increased to ld per lb; yearlings are increased to lld per lb. Calfskins, other than freezers, are unchanged at 3d. These rates are operative from October 24 and every endeavour will be made by the Hides Committee to retain these rates for 12 months. _v
