2nd LIBERTY LOAN
PROVINCIAL TOTAL £11,630. % ' Yesterday's provineial investments in the 2nd Liberty Loan totalled £1130, while £340 was invested on Tuesday. These amounts make the total of Marlborough Investments since the opening of the loan £9130. Advance subscriptions to the loan are now reported as £2500, which makes a grand total to date of £11,630. Subscriptions are coming in rather slowly, and it is felt that unless there is a wider and faster response the province may fall short of the roundfigure target of £100,000. There's a long stiff cliinb ahead to reach that, but every penny goes in war expenses and every pound counts in winning the war.
