ELECTRICAL SUPPLY
POWER BOARD'S MEETING. YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS. | In the sbsence of the ehairman | (Mr H. J. Stace) Mr W. G. Rudd | presided at yesterday's meeting of the Fower Board. Others present were Messrs F. W. Sharpe, C. P. Gainsford, A. H. Nees, C. E. Costello, E. S. Parker, and C. Nees. Le^ve of absence was granted Mr Stace. FINANCE. On the Finance Committee's recommendation Power Fund vouchers amounting to £1644 were passed for payment. This included £800 in salaries and wages and £400 for oil purchases. Revenue from electrical saies during September were shown as £5138. This included £2605 from domestic saies, £321 from commercial, and £213 for public lighf. Last Saturday at 9 a.m. a 33.000 volt fuse at the hydro station blew and caused an interruption for 25 minutes. No cause was found, butit is possible that this fuse was weakened when the swan got into the line on the 24th. Considerable darnage has again been caused to insulators near the Renwick sub. This time two insulators on cable boxes on the Havelock and Spring Creek lines have been damaged, and these lines will have to be •temporarily disconnected while | repairs are made. The report v;as adopted.
