PLUNKET SOCIETY.

BLENHEIM MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Plunket Society was held in the Rest Room. Mrs A. Hood presided, and the following members were present; Mesdames R. B. Chapman, C. E. Costello, T Gleeson, H. B. Hay, G. G. Jackson, H. Miller, J. McWhinney, G. D. Shand, S. Tyler, W. B. Wilson, J. Waters, R. Walker, H. Hall (Springcreek), and the secretary, Mrs H. S. Clarkson. Apologies were received from Mesdames F. E. Bythell, E. E. Currie, R. Parkes, F. Redwood, J. de Castro, W. R. T. White, and R. E. Watson. The nurses' report showed 38 new cases for the month; 1210 visits had been paid by mothers and babies at the rooms, and 268 to homes in Blenheim and the surrounding districts. Accounts amounting to £72 4s 6d, including salaries, were passed for payment. TDie caretaker's report showed- 1238 visitors to the Rest Room during the month. Donations of flowers were given by Mrs Blick and reading matter by the Marlborough Club. Mesdames Wilson and Jennings were appointed visiting committee for the month.
