BLENHEIM SONG GROUP MEETS. Members of the Song Group of the British Music Society's Blenheim branch gathered for the second-to-last meeting of the year at the residence of Mr J. Stewart. The following programme of songs was presented: "Life and Death" (Cole-ridge-Taylor), Miss V. Andrews; "Big Lady Moon" (Coleridge-Taylor), Miss M. Furness; "Night" and "Canoe Song" (Mallinson), Mrs D. M. Wemyss; "O, Lovely Rose" and "Thy Beaming Eyes" (MacDowell), Miss M. Macnab; and "Silver" (Armstrong Gibbs), Miss J. Stewart. A further MacDowell item, "Cradle Song," was
; " " played by Mrs A. C. Williams as a pianoforte solo. Plans were made for items for a B.M.S. members' evening, and supper was served.
