Rollason, of Kekerangu, is spending a few days in Blenheim. Mrs E. Batty has returned to Blenheim after a visit to Mrs J. P. Batty at Paeroa. Mrs John Newtown, of Greymouth, who has been visiting Mrs W. Eden, has now returned to her home. Miss Olive Knight has returned from a visit to Nelson. Mr and Mrs L. McLauchlan are visiting Wellington. Mrs E. R. Neale, the Mayoress of Nelson, has returned home after a visit to Blenheim. Mrs W. Hart has returned from a visit to Wellington. Miss M. Costello is visiting Wellington. Miss Peggie Stack has returned to Blenheim after visiting Mrs J. A. Nicol, Seatoun, and Mrs Charles Taylor, Gonville, Wanganui. Miss Jean Jordan, who is shortly leaving Blenheim to make her home in the north, was the guest of honour at ah afternoon party given by Mrs C. G. Whiteford and Mrs J. Broughan at the residence of the form'er. The drawing-room was gay with bowls of Iceland poppies, freesias and nemesias. During the afternoon I a competition was won by Miss Joyce Mills. A dainty afternoon tea followed, after which Miss Jordan was asked to accept a small gift from her friends. Those invited were: Mes- > dames T. McDonald, N. Parkes, A. G. Wicks, F. Wright, V. Jackson, H. M. Thompson, R. Sowman and D. Thomson and Miss Mills.
