EXPANSION IN MARLBOROUGH.

NOT MUCH ACREAGE LEFT. Marlborough at present is growing 8000 to 9000 acres of wheat and the bulk of the available land suitable for wheat-growing is now in production. If a. strict quota were insisted on, then it is possible that another 1500 acres might be secured next year, but any considerable expansion would be at the expense of other essential crops such as peas and small crops, not grown else where to such an extent as in this province.
