V The Blenheim School's shop day on Friday received record patronage, a total amount of £103 being collected. This compares with £72 last year. The sale of the goods, which were largely donated, was organised by the Hcme and School League, with the assistance of members of the teaching staff, and the money will be devoted to the provision of general school amenities. The death occurred this morning after a short illness of Mr William Douglas Lysnar, a former member of Parliament for Bay of Plenty, states a Gisborne P.A. telegram. He was prcminent in local body affairs, and was in Parliament from 1919 (when he defeated the late Sir James O'arroll) until 1931. v
