A SCALDED HAND

£150 DAMAGES AWARDED. Damages amounting to £150 6s were assessed by his: Honour Mr Justice Blair at Wellington last week in favour of Eileen Mane Leniston, wife of Edward Leniston, of Wellington, in respect of injuries suffered by her in April, 1933, in the course of her employment at Woolworths (N.Z.), Limited, the defendant company. The plaintiff was iilling a teapot from an urn of boiling water, and owing to the tap being faulty she scalded her left hand. Dermatitis followed, and the plaintiff had been unable to work practically ever since. The medical evidence was thdb her dis ability would last for some months. Mr Justice Blair had previousiy found for the plaintiff on the facts. *
