The Auckland Harbour Board proposes to name one of the main channels giving access to the Waitemata Haihour "Bledisloe Channel," out of respect to the GovernorGeneral. This was mentioned by the comniodore of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, Mr J. H. Frater, at the annual prize-giving ceremony of the squadron, held at Auckland. "I am sure you will agree with me that this generation will always remember the manifold activities of his Excelloncy during his term of oflice here and the wonderful service he has given to New Zealand," Mr Frater said. "But tne nafning of the channel will help those to come to realise how deeply we have appreciated the presence of Lord Bledisloe as Governor-General of this Dominion,'?
