TO-DAY' 8 MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Marlborough A. and P. Association was lield this afternoon at the office of the secretary (Mr R. Wanclen). The president (Mr F. L. Murrav) occupied the chair, and there were also present: Messrs F. C, Hammond, R. T. Laidlaw, Jas. Randall, ,0. Sinith, T. Morrin, J. F. Rudd, Junr., A. Hodgson, O. Nees,. W. G. Rudd, S. T. Richmond, R, Ham, F. E. Fairweather, H. Y. Monro, YYr. H. Gaiie, G. J. Leeeh, and A. M. W. Adams. Leave of ab,sence fas accorded Mr W. D. Pike. The followiilg new members were elected: Messrs F'. J. Grigg (Blenheim), and E. B. Fitzpatrick (Blenheim). Messrs W. J. Martin and C'o., forwarded a very liandsome silver rose bowl for oompetition at the fortlicoming show. — The dohors were lieartily thanked for their haiidsome gift and, after some diseiission, it was decided on the secretary' s recommendation, to offer the trophy for competition in the sultana cake class of the Honie Produce section. Mr Morrin was appointed to aet in Mr D. F. Fleming's stead 011 the J'reezing Committee', in the event of Mi- Fleming being unable to do so as a result of his illness. The .Ground Committee was empowered to aet in, the matter of providing tables and seats at the luncheon rooms at the Show Ground®, and the tender of Scotts' Limited at £6 was accepted for the luncheon privileges. The Ground Committee was empowered to erect seed bins for use m connection with tlie grain and seecls section. As the result of a letter from Mrs John, McLauchlan, it was decided to request the judges in thei Dairy Produce Section to cut all butter exhibits. . The Association formally approved of a suggestion by Mr A.'T. Vickers to hold a breeders' sale on the gr.ound on the day after the show, and promised its co-operation, providing that there was no cost to the Association. Mr W. I>. Pike. wrote forwarding from the Director-General a draft copy of ihe new Dairy Produce Dairy Regulatioils, which are of a confidential nature. — It was decided to keep the regulations .at the secretary 's office for inspection by dairy company directors and others interested. The next meeting was fixed for Oct. 22 — the Friday beforo the show. In regard to the Best Milch Cow class, on the motion of' Mr Laidlaw, it was decided to carry out the tests on the Friday and Saturday instead of tlie Saturday and Sunday, as provided in the schedule. Messrs W. G. Rudd and Hodgson were appointed to aet with the secretary in regard to the special prize schedule. Tenders for the refreshment stall and the publican's booth were referred to the Ground Committee. Accounts totalling about £39 were passed for payment. A credit bal-anc-e of £66 19s od was reported.
