(Received Sept. 29, 5.5 p.m.) VANCOUVER, Sept, 28. The Rev. Charles Thompson, secretary of the China Inland Mission here, received a cablegram from the seeretary of the Mission at Shangliai confirming the reports that Mr C. Freeman Davies, the Australian missionary, was oaptured when banclits attacked and clestroyed the Mission premises in Chow-kia-kow, in the Honan province. Mr Davies was in charge of the Mission. during the absence of Mr M . E. Shearer and Mrs Shearer. who were visitinjg Vaneouver. The cablegram adds that with Mr Freeman Davies were Mrs Davies, Miss E. Poplin (of Australia.), Miss May Simpson (of Vancouver), and Miss Katlierine Kreeck (of Saskatchewan) who are all safe.
