AUCKLAND, Sept. 28. The inquiry regarding serious a.llegations in connection with the Seddon Memorial College, adjournec from September 14th, was resumed to-day before Mr Salmon, S.M.. Conimissioner. Mr L. P. Leary reipresented the Director of the College (Mr J. Park), Mr R. T. Towle the Board of Managers, and Mr J. P Finlay Mr G. Laing, formerly engineering instructor to tlie College. Mr Finlay said that the point had heen raised whether the College was being conducted on >a pi'oper basis, The petitioners would allege thal there was a lack of diseipline and oontrol, that Mr Park introduced teachers and displaced others, thal teachers had followed Mr Park from Wanganui Technical College, that in some cases they were signally defieient in the subjects they were put on to teaoh. For instance , the swimming claes was put under a man who could not sw4m. Air Finlay detailed allegations concerning the qualities of other teachers.
