OTAGO (29) v. HAWKE'S BAY (0).

DUNEDIN, Sept. 27. Otago effected a rather surprising win over Hawke's Bay by 29 to 0. The latter were not lielcling their best side, but there were a number of their cracks in the ranks, and the amazing thing was that the visitors did not even soore. There were some 15,000 people present, and the ground was in good order. Playing with the wind Otago oould only score 8 to 0, but against it they forced the pace and Hawke's Bay found no advantage from it. The latter were beaten back and forward. Quite a number of players were injured and had to be replaced.
