BROOKES UNABLE TO GO.
[press association.] (Received Feb. 8, 0.15 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Feb. 7. A private letter from Wilding states that he hopes to arrange kis business so as to enable him not only to defend his title of champion of England, but to represent Australia, in the Davis Cup matches.
Brookes has intimated that he will be unable to go to England in 1913, but will be available in 1914 if Britain retains the Cup.
