A VILLAGE DEVASTATED
SEVERAL FARMS DAMAGED

A bush fire devastated the village settlement of Monbulk and destroyed 15 houses, the Mechanics' Institute, and the State school, and damaged others.
The Beaconsfield ranges were swept, and several adjacent farms suffered..
Fires are ;also reported from Willow Grove, Foster, Walhalla, and Mafoa.
