"AGAINST SOCIALISM AND
SYNDICALISM,"
WELLINGTON, Feb. 6. The New Zealand Employers' Fedoration is issuing an appeal to the employers to combine for their own safety "against Socialism and Syndicalism," and to establish a defence fund. -
The appeal says: "Unless some defensive measures are taken industries and politics will soon be in tho hands of irresponsible persons, who will wage a class war. The employers must cease from drifting, . and organise more effectively. it is proposed to publish weekly in the newspapers replies to tho arguments of the Labor leaders, to publish statistics, and to deal with proposed legislative enactments. The total cost is estimated to be £5000.
The appeal also asks employers to pay annually a sum equal to haJf-a-crown for every £100 of wages paid.
