♦ Press Association. Electric Telegraph. Copyright. Timaru, April 2. The Police to-day arrested a youth charged with having stolen £10 worth of jewellery from a Timaru resident niue months ago. At a meeting of the Levels County Council to-day, the loss to the country by the late floods was estimated at from £800 to £1000. Nelson, April 2. At the annual meeting of the Nelson Agricultural and Pastoral Association, Mr H. Baigent was elected President, and Messrs Geo. Talbot, F. Green and A. W. Tatton vice-presidents. The profit on the last show, including subscriptions, was £192.
