Auckland, Januaty 5. A futiher detachment of Volunteers left by the Glenftlg for Wellington. Auckland's total to the contingent is 27 Two horses were shipped from Messrs Williams and Donald MeKinnon. Mr E. W. Aiison gives a hurdler to the contingent; Mr G*o. Fowlds, M.8.R., received the following telegram from the Premier m answer to his message offering the services of five Austriana :— " Thank very sincerely th< five Austrian a for offering their services for the Transvaal. Have already got the number required." Cap*. Reid replied he could not leave before Tuesday to join the contingent. He has received another wire : — "Come at once." Lieut.
