♦ OTAQO V. CANTERBURY. IDNITKD PBBSS ASSOCIATION.] Chbistohuroh, January 4, The interprovincial cricket match Otago v. Canterbury began this afternoon m Lancaster Park. There was a very meagre attendance. A cold wind blew all day, but the wicket wac m good order, and Otago'a poor batting display is unacoountable, Winning the toss, they were all disposed of for 127 ; Baker 23, JohDstone 18, Austin 18, Fisher 14, being the only men to reaoh double figures. Jfrankish was most successful with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 26. Canterbury has lost one wicket (D. Reese) for 84.
