Bouney's sawmill at Belmont has been burned down. It was uninsured. Auckland, January 3. Mr Albion's residence, owned by Mr 9, Oochrane, Epsom, was burned down with the coutents early m the morning. Oocbrane was insured for £250 m the New Zealand; the furniture was insured by Albion for £215 m the Phoenix. Information was reoeived to day that the Puhipuhi forest is on fire. The forest comprises 17,640 acres, covered with kauri, about 28$ million feet. One block of twelve million feet was to have been sold on Friday next, Palmbbston Nobth, January 8. A young man namod James Amos, working for the U.F.0.A., was arrested yesterday for theft of goods from his employer's establishme nt .
