RESIGNATION OF A BISHOP. A SCHOONER ASHORE. {UNITCD PBISB ASSOCIATION. I Mellbourne, January 4. The Bishop of Ballarat has resigned. He considered it to the best interest of the See that it should have a change of Bishop after his 25 years occupancy. Brisbane, January 4. The schooner Eclipse drifted ashore m a heavy gale near Maokay. Seaman McLennan was drowned. The blaok traoker arrested for the murder of Lebiowitz was wounded m attempting to escape.
