Those engaged in the volunteering movement in connection with the Transvaal War have reoeived an anonymous gift of a fully equipped fiald hospital while Colonel Allen, of the Fourth Battalion, West York' ehire Militia, and Colonel Watts, of the First Northumberland have each donated ft splendid battery.
