ANOTHER SEND-OFF AT CHRISTCHURCH.
Christohtjboh, December 31. There was an enthusiastic send-ofi of the second draft of the second New Zealand Contingent on Saturday night. The Garrison Band played the men to the station, the Christ's College Rifles forming the advance guard, whilst the Zealandia Rifles team (Wellington), and other volunteers who happened to be m uniform at the Drill Shod, helped to keep the road clear. The men who went from here were : —Troopers L. O'Callaghan, W. Chapman, OM.R; Priv. F. 8. Auated, Temuka Rifles ; Priv. A. T. Morris, Rangiora Rifles , Gunner W. Chapman, E Battery. Five troopers of 'he South Canterbury Mounted Rifles and one mem* ber each from the Timaru and Timaru City Rifles came from the south by express, and with the Chrietchurch men proceeded to Wei li>on by steamer.
