An additional £50,000 is voted for Defence,’, should further expenditure be required,'rather than call the Assembly together • also £30,000 for roads in Native districts. Major Brown’s case declared not a.breach of privilege by 28 to 27. Many members left for North and South on Wednesday. .
The Government are carrying all their financial and other Bills, the only two points on which they were successfully /opposed being the Corn Duty, and the Marlborough Union Bill. An intention of the native prisoners to endeavour to escape being reported by one of the Ngatiporu guard, a European guard has been added.
