Sir.—l wish you would exert your influence and try again to rouse the public to the advisability of establishing an Horticultural Society. lam sure if it could he once started, it would “go on and prosper.” What a treat it would be once or twice a year to have a good show in the Town Hall of fruits and flowers—with the Brass Baud in attendance. The proceeds of admission would pay the prizes, and we might gradually enlarge, so as to include agriculture. 1 am, &c., L.
