THE BLENHEIM CADET CORPS.
To the Editor of the Marlborough Express. Sin, —As I fake great interest in our Cadets, f hope you will permit me to make a few remarks upon the disgraceful way in which tit y are being served by their Commanding Officer.” Having noticed in the Express an advertisement calling them out (or parade and inspection of aims, I made it my business to go and see them drill, when 1 was surprised to see only about half- a dozen or so of them present, and their officer absent —I believe for the third time—whose duty it was to he there, as he is the only one at present. But lam told lie cannot find time (lie must be very busy) for liaif-an-hour to go and put them through a few movements ; but perhaps he cannot, and is ashamed to let it he known. lam also informed that lie is the means of keeping boys, who are under his care, back from drill. Now. Sir, I think the boys ought not to be neglected in this way, and I daresay there is some one to be found «ho will fill his position more zealously—Yours, &c., Blenheim, Sept. 24. An Old Soldier.
