Webster and J. W. Eadie made 22 each and W« Eadie 18. The score included no less than 16 extras. This left Crore 78 to get in order to win. This did not look an easy task, T?rhen Simson. and Squires were got o^^t for one and three respectively, but Hende.aon and Douglas • put a different complexion on the game when they got together. The former made 21 and the latter 39 before they were disposed of. .Labatt was caught first ball, and was followed oy Dewar, who made 11. He and Scott were the not outs, and the match was thus won by five wiclcets and two runs. The utmost cordiality prevailed, as is always the case when these clubs meet in peaceful war. The fielding on both sides' was good, and the bowling fair. Those who distinguished themselves were : — For the visitors, Webster, the two Eadie's, and Mil lard ; for the home team, Douglas Labatt, Dewar and Henderson, la the bowling department, J. M'Kenzie and W. Eadio were most prominent, and for the Grore men, Dewar (in the first innings) aai Mart nin the second. The analysis b^low will show the actual averages. Messrs C. Young and J.
