" Young Prince Charlie " is a beautiful dark bay horse, four years old — bred by Mrs Nimmo, of the Taieri —by Prince ; dam Gentle. Prince, the champion sire of New Zealand is a bright bay ; sire, Prince Charlie (imported) ; dam, Princess Maude First. Prince has gained many first prizes in Victoria, and his stock cannot be surpassed. Prince has an excellent temper, immense bone, superior action ; is a sure foal getter, and is acknowledged by competent judges to be the best Clydesdalebred horse in the colony.
