Medical. (From Capt. Kennedy, TJ.S.S. Co.'s Hauroto Port Chalmers, Feb. 7, 1883. Dear Sir, — Thanks for the medicine you ' were kind enough to send me. I have only to say that in my case — a severe attack ol neuralgia in the head— it affoidcd me considerable relief. It has also the advantage T of not being in the least nauseous, like most remedies. — I remain, dear sir, yours faithfully, A. Kennedy. r Caledonian Hotel, Dunedin, Dec, 13, 1883. Dear Sir, — It is with great pleasure that I can testify to the success of your New Zealand mixture for curing neuralgia in the cases of myself, a daughter, and sister ; it cured us in a few hours, and without any recurrence of the complaint. — Yours truly, Helen 1 Infield. i \ ~~~~~ ! Where, however, a disease is of a peculiar and exceptional character, a personal consultation may become necessary ; but my * success in correspondence is so great, that of - the thousands upon thousands whom I have , treated by letter during the last 32 years, not a single mistake has ever occurred, not a case has ever been made public— in fact, the very simplicity of my system of correspondence prevents publicity. At the same time medicines are sent to my patients in such a form as to defy detection. How many thousands have I not brought 1 joy to 1 i How many have been enabled to enter into the marriage state through consulting me / f How many after marriage have privately ( consulted me and been blessed, and their a married liyes made fruitful and happy 1 How many wasted ruined youths of both 3 sexes have also been restored to health, and I thanked their manhood, for having consulted 1 me by letter 1 \ How many questions arise where the family physican ia unable to unravel the case, and where often the patient lingers on, not daring to tell his family medical adviser the nature of his complaint, until consumption, wasting, or mental diseases set in, and the sufferer gets beyond the curable stage, and is left a hopeless wreck 1 A letter written in the privacy of the room and dropped in the post box reaches me quietly ; the answer is returned aa quietly ' and unostentatiously, and the patient, without stepping from his chamber, exoflpt to post his letter, is by return of post put in full possession of the nature of his case. His hopes are raised, his doubts removed and he is comparatively a new man ; in fact, in many cases, a new being altogether. The only addition to the ordinary written letter is the age, occupation, habits and 1 symptoms, nothing more. The usual consult- j ation fee of one Ll (one pound) must be enclosed, otherwise no answer will be re- ( turned, g There are thousands of oases in daily life where a consultation with one at a distance, will remove by a single letter a graat fear, a c groat care, and it often solves what appears c as an impenetrable mystery. Many a sad heart has been made joyful on receipt of an *■ explanatory letter from me. To those who are about to marry, I would say consult me before doing so, and thus prevent many after troubles, and remove many a unnecessary fears and prejudices ; to those more especially who have yielded to their p^asipns: Tp £h,ege \ say, &t opep, conavilfc with me, do not tarry, delnys are dangerous, * and as aa expert, my time may not be always ?t your service, you can, by simply enclosing . one pound, have the benefit of my experience f in the 3ame manner as if I lived in your own town, and with the additional advantage of j thorough privacy. — Yours truly, t LOUIS L.
