Sir,— Mr James Beattie's letter in your issue oE 23rd instant is, to say the least, a tissue of wilful and deliberate falsehood, but as the writer therein admits himself to be a lunatic (and who should be a better judge?) he is not responsible for his own acts, and consequently unworthy of any further notice. — I am, etc., F.
