DEATH OF PRINCE LEOPOLD.
His Royal Highness Prince Leopold, Duke of Albany, died sii^enl^r gu Friday last at Cannes. Particulars' Ift J?and show show that he slipped on the stair's' of the Nautical Club, and sustained an injury to the knee. He was removed to Captain Percival's villa, close by, and put to bed. Nothing seriqu§ was feared, and he read the papers and conv& S§d freely Mth those around, and partook of supper, J)r itfoplQ wag in attendance and slept in the sameroo/n, and at two o'clock in the morning he was startled by the Duke's heavy breathing, and found him in an. epileptic fit, aud he died in gj.^. minutes in the arms of his host, Captain Percival. The immediate cause of death was effusion of blood on thjs brajn, He was previously in sple'udia health, T and wrote cheerfully to his wife 'on 'Thursday'.' Slie is a,t Clarernont, waiting her ekpected confinement. The Queen is seriously prostrated'by the news, and the e^-Empress Eugenie was with her several hours.
