C^r>well, White,, and Co. report having held a sheep sale at Pine' Bush on the 26th nit, when close on 2500 sheep and lambs were yarded, and all sold with the exception of 150 that were turned out ; the price offered not reaching the vendor's reserve. The attendance was rather small, owing no doubt to sevft nl farmers having started harvesting in -the district. The bidding for all the lota was keen, 'and the sale on the whole was very satisfactory. The following is a list of prices ■ Tealised :t-294 Romney crow ewes brought 10s 7d each.; 21 crossbred ewea, full-mouthed, 9s 6d each ; 65 cull ewes, 6s 7d eachs* : 204 twd.tooth fat wethers. 13s 9d each ; 287 crossbred lambs, small, 6a 3d each ; 112 crossbred lambs, 8g 6d : 51 croesbred lamb9i 6s 9d ;47 crossbred ewes, los3d ; 146 crossbred, lambs, 7s 4d ; 57 half-br«d ewes, full-mouthed and brokpn, 6s 3d; 103 crossbred lambs, 9s fid : 2) email, 7s Id ; 70'crosebred lambs. 7s 10.1 : '?I3 crossbred lambs,. 6s 9d ; 69 call lambs. 3s ; 100 crossbred fat wetherf, 13s ; 283 full-mouthed crossbred ewes in low condition, 6s 3d. The same, firm hold an important sale at Wynd-ham.to-day, particulars whereof will be found in oift advertising columns.
Green and Sounees, in conjunction with W. Qiiin, of Tapanui, report having held a large eaje of sheep at their yards, Gore, on Friday last. There were over 3000 sheep yarded, and the;,' were. all cold in a very short time at the following prices : — 1600 fullmoftthefi merino' wether* 7s per head ; 200 broken <jo:, 4ft ;. the crossbred lambs brought 6s 6d to 6s 10d.; fat crossbred wethers, 13s 4d : two-tooth" 'crossbred wntherg. 10a 8d; broken monthed meriao ewe?. 3s 2tl.
