The National Mortgage Co., Invercargill, report that old stocks of grain have completely run out, and very few samples of new are offering. Prime wheat is quoted at 4s ; oats (good bright feed), short, 2s to 2s Id ; long, Is l'Orl to Is lid f.o.b. The ' North Otago Times ' has been informed that a line of 17,000 bushels of red straw and velvet wheat (this season's crop) haa Ijeen sold by a2C >rth.
