* TO THE EDITOR. Sib, — I notice that in Gore the people are losing hens, pails, &c, which are taken away by people called " light-fingered gentry." There mast be some up this way too, as I have had a patch of oats cut in my paddock and taken away. As I cannot put a paddock of oats under lock and key, can you spare any odd policemen you may have in Gore to take a turn up jtnis way to see if he can catch the depredator, — I am, &c, Alex.
