J Since the 10th inst., it is estimated that 454 tons of potatoes have been landed at Auckland from the southern ports and further consignments are arriving. At Adelaide wheat has declined 3d during last week, And is now quoted at 5s 3d. The market is quiet. Town flour, per ton, £12 ss ; country brands, £11 10s. New Zealand oats are unchanged in Sydney at 2s 9d, There i 3 no^ New Zealand wheat in the market. Under date London, 15th May, Jas. Morrison and Co. report as follows : — The series of colonial wool saleg for the present year opened this evening. The total quantity of bales available for the series amount to about 340,000 bales ; , of this Australia contributed 310,000 bales, the Cape sending the balance, 30,000 bales. The series opened without change, and prices generally are on a level with those ruling last sales, i Biddings for all descriptions were fairly active,and are likely to continue so throughout ; present rates being probably maintainea,as"supplies are not in excess of dcm and. We understand orders are in the market from America. Trade in the English manufacturing districts is fairly active ; on the Continent quietness prevails. In London Adelaide wheat, ex store, remains at 60s, and New Zealand ditto at 45s to 48s. Adelaide flour 1 ex warehouse, 345. At the London wool sales merino wool maintains its ; vfllue, but inferior wools are easier in price, and crossbred is a halfpenny lower. Thirty-nine thousand bales have .ibeen catalogued, of which two thousand four hundred havebech withdrawn. Following were Christchurch wholesale produce prices at the close of last week :— Barley, malting, 43 to 4s Gd per bushel. l Barley, 2s 6d to 3s per bushel. Flour £11 to £11 10s per ton. Oats (feed), Is 9d to 2s per bushel; milling, 2s, ld > 2s 2d. Hay, £3 to £3 10s per ton ; Potatoes (kidney), 60 to 555 ; (Derwent), 32s 6d to 55s per ton. Wheat., (milling), 4s to 4s 6d per bushel. Butter, Is to Is Id per Ib. Cheese (new), fid to ssd per lb. ' Hams and bacon, in cloth, 9d per lb. Pea $• 3s to 88 8d per bushel. Tar«s, imported, 10s to 139.
