TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — I notice that the Clinton people arc about to erect au Atheujeum, and it seems to me they are proceeding to work in a very systematic manner. Instead of going into a money market outside their town, they pro* j pose to raise the funds by the issue of 400 shares of £1 eacb. Now, coild not the Goce ] Athenroum Committee " go and do likewise." There are many residents who would willingly take up shares in such a concern, and I think if a prospectus wore issued and active canvass for shares made we should not Ion 4 be without an Athenseum Hall with all its pleaßing adjuncts. — Yours, &0., Well-wisher.
