Messrs Wright, Stephenson, & Co., of Dunedin, quote 4s 3d to 4s 4d for very choicest samples of Tuscan red straw and velvet wheat (proportion of each kind). Por heavy milling and feed oats, for prompt delivery, 2s to 2a Id per bushel is obtainable. The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgago and Agency Company reports of thclooal grain markets as follows :— Wheat (shipping), is dull at 5s 3d to 6s Gd t malting barley, 5s 3d to 5s Cd— the market is firmer; New Zealand oats are in fair demand, and feeding qualities are worth 2s lOd ; milling do., 3s 6d, and under bond are quoted at 2s 3d to 2s lOd.
