At. Wednesday's meeting of this Board Mr Stout's motion—*' That in the opinion of the Board the Chief Commiasioaer should obtain and submit to the Board a report of the various agricultural and pastoral deferred-pay* ment holdings, so that the Board may ascertain whether it be true that dummyism exists and that some holders are non-resident on their holdings," was carried. The Ohief Commissioner explained that Banger. Hughan was already engaged on a. to/ur of inspection of the different holdings within his district. Thefollowinglocalbusines was transacted : — Capitalisation was authorised in the following cases :— John ,Ma,okay r section 17, block 111, Otama ; Donald Robertson, seotion 4 S block 11, Otama ; James Crawford, section 50, block VI GHenkenioh, , Eanger Hughan reported on the application of Messrs Oonnell and tooodie, on behalf of John Oregan, to purchase section 13 block I, Otama district, stating that the -land is not ' likely to be required, .for" sptiool or other public purposes,— lt was decided to class the land under the 164 th section of the Act, with a view to allow the applicant to purchase, provided there is no objection. Robert Walker's application for a lease in lieu of a license for section 2, block 111, Otama, was granted. Messrs Connell and Moodie, on behalf of Priscilla Latham, applied fora lease in lieu of ! a license for deferred payment seotion 23, blook V, Waikaka.— The application was granted. W.Henderson's application on behalf of James Todd, contractor, Ohatton, to have the improvements on his seotion in the above ' township valued and added to the price ! fetched by the section at auction, was refer* ;' red to Banger Hughan for report. |
