RAISING HALIFAX STREET.
To the Editor,
Srn, —It lias been reported that I gave my consent to the raising of Halifax-street. I beg to say that I did not give my consent to the way in which this work is proposed to be done, but I did say 1 would not object to the hollow being filled up, and to make it on a level with Redwood-street. If they raise Redwood-street it will destroy my property, and I shall instruct my solicitor to take proceedings against the Boaough Council and also against the Rivers’Board, If the work is carried out it will be (lone in the face of a numerous and influentially signed petition and those who signed it are determined to uphold thenrights at law. —I am, &c., W. B. Earll, Blenheim, Dec. 10th, 1880.
